My Country Killed Yuri Chervochkin
Friday, December 14th, 2007
Yuri Chervochkin died on December 10. He was less then 23 years old. A member of now banned National-Bolshevik Party, he joined in January 2006, when party was not banned yet. Militant activist, Yuri participated in some party actions. Most notoriously, on March 11, 2007, he and some other members of the “The Other Russia” coalition disrupted elections at a regional parliament in Odintsovo, a town in the Moscow region. Shouting the slogan: “Your elections are a farce!” the group of youths occupied the premises of electoral commission. Yuri was captured, held in prison for about a month, was released on parole and was awaiting a trial. He didn’t have a chance to live his trial through. After his release in May 2007, Yuri became a target for the special militia forces for struggle against terrorism and political extremism of RUBOP (Regional Command of Struggle Against Organized Crimes), which is controlled by the Ministry of the Interior. Those brutes, trained to kill, having no scruples, killers by choice and profession, were employed to suppress political opposition somewhere in the middle of 2004. Their new employment, never officially disclosed, was equal to the creation of the death esquadrons in Latin America in the 1960s.

Repressed Party
Wednesday, August 9th, 2006
A few figures for the beginning. Now in Strasbourg European human rights court there are 42 claims of members of the National-Bolshevik Party against Russia, against the repressive and unfair decisions, taken by Russian courts.
Now 26 members of the National-Bolshevik Party are in prisons. Altogether 110 members of the NBP have passed through prisons since 1999. I draw your attention to the fact, that arrests and repressive court decisions started in 1999.
Paranoia
Tuesday, August 1st, 2006In the afternoon July 28 my phone burst with journalists’ calls. The Federal registration service of the Ministry of Justice and certain “Russian culture protection” proved to have threatened with legal liability the mass media, which would mention the NBP or the NBP officials. They say the NBP was liquidated in summer 2005 and wasn’t later registered by the Ministry of Justice. Journalists asked me to comment on that.
The definition “the state moronity”was my simplest explanation. I recalled history, I had to go deep, to possessed Roman Caesars, but even there I didn’t find any data about a prohibition to mention an insurgent tribe or a political organization. Neither Kaligula, nor Nero let themselves to commit such a foolishness. The only place, where the Ferderal registration service and “Russian culture protection” would be pertinent, is a play by Gogol or those of the Theater of the Absurd (Ionesko and Bekket, for example) and texts by Daniil Harms. That’s all. No, “1984″ by Oruell too.

Komsomol under mayonnaise
Thursday, June 24th, 2004
Russian lefts grow swiftly younger. Rallying students succeed grandmothers. They are struggling against Putin the “dictator”, unmasking Zuganov the “revisionist” and are waiting for the anticapitalist revolution any day. In order to brighten up the process of waiting they bombard elder politicians with ketchup and mayonnaise.
On the 23d of February Russia’s left radicals are going to carry out the action “Russia without Putin”. Evidently they will not manage to organize a mass rally, their most significant actions have gathered only about 2000 participants so far. Under Yeltsin mass left radical open-airs mainly attracted grandmothers with saucepans. Now - students.
