Novaia Gazeta have recently accused me of going to tusovkas, they think that I have no right to partying, “in time, when his young activists been held in prisons.” That was written as “Editorial Note,” page 11, Novaia Gazeta N93, issuded on December 12. Later at night, radio station “Echo of Moscow” scrutinized my behaviour on same matter with a help of writer Alexander Kabakov and politician Dmitri Rogozin. Rogozin talked about me correctly, he demonstrated perfect diplomatical style, whereas Kabakov, he is known as Limonov-hater, so it was not surprizing to be supported by Rogozin and ferociously attacked by Kabakov. What is infuriating that liberal Novaia Gazeta and also liberal “Echo” have choosen to attack me, a man with a best personal record amongst leaders of political parties. I am only one who was arrested, was put on trial, was sentenced and eventually been held in diverse prisons and camp for two and a half years. No Russian political leader, liberal or communist have such record. Why to accuse me? What for? Liberals wants me to be in prison 365 days per year? Each year?

Sunday, February 15th, 2004The member of the NBP Central Committee Sergei Fomchenkov is answering at the instance of Edward Limonov.
1. Could you present us the National-Bolshevik Party, its ideology and aims?
The National-Bolshevik Party now represents an acting political organization with 10 years of history of struggle, counting about 12000 members, having more than 50 regional departments around Russia. The party members are mainly the youth(15-30 years old), people discontent with their social position, marginals, nonordinary personalities with literary and artistic propensity, even “hereditary” revolutionaries. On the whole all the strata of society, different nationalities, religions are represented.
Our ideology is based on the works of such theorists of national-bolshevism as Ustryalov, Agurski, the works of Edward Limonov. We also borrow the ideas of current importance from Lenin, Mussolini, Mao and others.
Our aim is to come to power in Russia by means of National Revolution. We aspire to the establishment of the national and social justice in Russia, to the complete replacement of the ruling class - the power of functionaries and former nomenclature elite removal, redistribution and nationalization of property.
More than 1,000 young left-wing protesters braved Saturday’s downpour to march amid a heavy police presence in the demonstration Anti-Capitalism 2005. While the young activists called it proof of the depth of their convictions, numerous onlookers said it was proof their loyalties had been bought and paid for.
Political spring in Kishinev turned out to be hot. For really youth public organizations, among which the Kishinev department of the NBP is leading, too. News releases of this youth group are not gay with popmpous reports on received grants. They rather remind of reports from the field of military operations:
During friendly discussions with comrades of the Party it sometimes happens to hear the opinion: We can’t let Chechnya free! What kind of nationalists are we if we call for giving the Chechens a piece of Russian territory?! References to Lenin and the Bolsheviks, with their Brest peace and generally anti-Russian position during the First World War don’t convince everybody. “Lenin was an internationalist, but we are nationalists” is a common objection.
