The 2 of April, activists of the Chelyabinsk filial of the National-bolshevik party (NBP) had thrown eggs and packets of mayonnaise at the US ambassador Alexander Vershbow.
The incident happened when Alexander Vershbow who has come to Ural to participate in the American-Russian business forum, visited the municipal library - the official NBP site tells. When the diplomat entered the so-called “American corner” of the library, a National-bolshevik party activist threw a raw egg at him. The nazbols was arrested by police officers and the ambassador promptly left the library. After the automobile with Alexander Vershbow drove away from the library building, two packets of mayonnaise, thrown by other NBP activists flew at the car.
The NBP activists accompanied their actions with the cries “Yankees - assassins!” and “Hands off Russia!” NBP pretensions towards the United States consist in the fact that “under the USA leadership the genocide of Serbs in Kosovo is going on and the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan continues.”
Let’s recall that the first incident with Vershbow happened during his visit of Ekatirinbourg. On Wednesday, 31 March seven activists of the party had chained themselves to the window bars of the Kamerni Theater, where the American economical forum with his participation was happening. NBP members met the arrival of the US ambassador by the chanting of anti-American slogans and the spreading of leaflets. The ambassador, surrounded by a ring of security guards, quickly plunged into the theater building. After 20 minutes he came out and the chained “nazbols” pursued the “direct action”. It is interesting that the activists were unfastened from the bars only an hour after the event’s ending.
